Parents and Friends Association

The St Joseph’s community is enriched by the parents’ and friends’ commitment to supporting the needs of the school.

Parent voice is integral to developing and delivering relevant and comprehensive services to our community. As a school we acknowledge parents as the first educators of their children and essential to ensuring their wellbeing. We know that best outcomes happen when we work with parents and carers for the benefit of their child.

The Parents and Friends Association contribute to numerous projects, support the principal and staff and actively engage in their children’s learning by

  • actively promoting interactions between home, school, parents and teachers
  • organising social functions to facilitate community connection
  • hosting parent engagement and parent information session
  • contributing to forums and discussion regarding a variety of school programs and activities
  • planning and running fundraising activities
  • assisting in providing resources to the school where necessary
  • working in partnership with the principal and staff, in encouraging the optimum spiritual, intellectual, social and physical growth of all students
  • actively promoting the school within the wider community.

The Parents and Friends Association has several projects running at any one time and welcomes anyone who can assist and contribute in supporting these projects as and when they can.

Meetings are held once a Term and all are welcome to attend and become involved.
