Homework

At St Joseph's we believe that homework establishes a connection between home and school and that it has a significant impact on the later life, maturity and learning of students. It develops self-discipline and fosters long term habits of learning and planning.

Normally teachers will outline their homework procedures at their Parent/Teaching information night held at the start of the school year. At other times parents should consult their child's teacher in order to familiarise themselves with the procedure in each class.

Homework is expected to be completed appropriately and at a high standard.

Students who do not complete homework will be given an appropriate consequence. Eg Complete homework during lunch break.

Parents are expected to write a note or contact the classroom teacher if their child experiences difficulties or is unable to complete the set homework.
